Commission...

A recent commission for a Christmas Pressie.

Snowman...

It's that time of year and love it or hate it, there's not much chance of escaping it...so, whenever I'm doodling on the phone, everything seems to have a Christmas feel.

Santa...

I was trying to turn this into a short and simple animation of Santa waving but I'm not having much luck with loading it...so, here's a static Santa... you'll have to use your imagination instead.

Ant and Dec...

Thought I'd try a bit more exaggeration in these caricatures. This was done very quickly by my standards (less than 2 hours is quick for me!), drawn by hand, scanned and coloured in PhotoShop.

Recent commission...

Oldies...

These were done a few years ago for a company looking to illustrate key words and phrases within their organisation. I submitted 12 cartoons and they ran 8 in total on their web based office site.

Happy Halloween...

Actually, I'm not a fan of Halloween...It disturbs my drinking time - keep getting up to answer the door... Anyway, the kids like to colour in these 'toons.

The iPod is the greatest invention ever. I cant imagine life without it. This quick drawing is in memory of Steve Jobs who died today. R.I.P

Archie update...

This is the finished look to the Archie design which is mounted on the bonnet of a Hillman Minx which is being used in a banger race event in a couple of weeks.

I've always wanted to be able draw in a Graphic Novel style...this is my first effort. It hasn't worked out the way I wanted it to but I thought I'd post it anyway as a reference point (hopefully I can improve on it and post another one at a later date...)

It's based on a scene from the movie, Book of Eli.

1st Aid...

For the past couple of days I have been doing my First Aid re-qualification with the St.John Ambulance. This is a caricature of the trainer. I missed about 20 minutes of the course while secretly sketching him and unfortunately I don't have a comparison photo for you to see, but I thought I'd include it here (if only as a reminder to myself).

By the way, I passed the course...! Another 3 years of being able to do CPR on an armless, legless dummy and bandage a cut caused by some old person with an inability to open a tin of beans correctly...Whoop-de-doo!

We are the Mods...

I've always loved Lambretta's and the sound of them. I had a bit of a Mod thing going on in my youth, I still love the style, the clothes, scooters and above all the music and life-style...Am I too old to still be a Mod? I don't look like one these days...The wife wont let me....

Story time...

This is from a sample of work I was asked to produce to illustrate a childrens story. I was given a copy of the story and was able to pick any parts of it to illustrate. This image is of animals (and a tree) gathering round to listen to a story.

The Postroom Window...

Drawn by hand then scanned in and coloured on the computer. This strip is for a corporate magazine of which I have been contributing to for over three years. I have left out the text on this version because it's an 'IN' joke with the company and wouldn't really make much sense and would take too long to explain. Hopefully you can just enjoy the drawing.... if I ever get round to sharing this blog with anyone!

Bin...and gone!

I was told that by drawing a caricature of Osama, I was glorifying him... I can see the point being made, but on the other hand - history is history, and this is the day he was finally killed. Besides, less than half a dozen people have visited this blog since I started it, and I think four of those visits were me... so who the bloody hell is gonna care what image I put here!

Harry Hill

Harry Hill makes 'You've been Framed' funny with his voice over for the home video TV show and "Harry Hill's TV Burp!" is the only way to watch the TV in the first place....Other than that, I'm not sure why I did this caricature!

Self Caricatures

I thought I'd add a couple of images of myself... Pop Art style and as a Simpson character. I'm told that I always look miserable, I dont agree, I think it's just that gravity has an adverse effect on my features....

Some friends of mine went to Hyde Park in London and took part in the March For The Alternative....umm, march.  Well, any way, that's why I did this one of the Labour Leader.  I saw his Hyde Park speach on the TV in the evening.
